Presidents play GMC

By John McCann

On April 2nd GMC students were treated to a performance by the once and again great band The Presidents of the United States of America.

Playing a mixture of old favorites, like "Peaches" and "Kittie", and new hits, like "Some Postman", the Presidents delighted what many thought was a small crowd.

GMC was the band's third concert in as many nights. They have played roughly 90 shows since August. The tour began after the release of their latest album Love Everybody.Having broken up in 1997, the band enjoys their new audience of old fans.

Before the show, the guys of the band spent about three hours napping in the girls locker room of Waldron Gymnasium.

Surely they were only getting ready for the amazing show they put on, not resting their hips and knees (you know, 'cause they're "old").
